Policies and Terms

Please read the rental agreements and policies carefully before hiring a tour.

- Bicycles are rented clean and in proper working condition and must be returned in the same way.


- Helmets are included in the rental and must be worn during all time of the journey while riding rented bikes from Bike and Smile. In case of seeing a customer riding the rental bike without a helmet, the customer must immediately return the bike without a refund.


- Bicycles are serviced daily. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that everything is functioning on the bicycle in the store BEFORE embarking on any journey.


- The customer agrees to return the bicycle in clean, UNDAMAGED condition to avoid any ADDITIONAL charges for repairs, maintenance or replacement.


- The customer accepts the use of the equipment in GOOD CONDITION and agrees to take full responsibility for the care of the equipment while using it. Damaged parts or components will be repaired/replaced at the store's discretion, and the customer agrees to pay the costs.


- Normal wear and tear are accepted, but do not include broken spokes, bent rims or tires, damaged or scratched frames, handlebars, seats, or other parts deteriorated due to misuse and/or collisions.


Cancellations

Cancellations must be notified in writing during office hours and working days to our contact details: bikeandsmilegalapagos@gmail.com or phone +(593) 98 644 0849:

- 80% of the deposit is refundable when the booking is cancelled at least 40 days in advance.
- 50% of the deposit is refundable when the booking is cancelled at least 20 days in advance.
- NO REFUNDS if the booking is cancelled at least 10 days in advance.

Refunds will be made within 15 to 45 working days.
